Berlin’s LUTHER Sign to Long Branch Records, Unleash “Giving The People What They Want”
Berlin’s alt-metal weirdos LUTHER just leveled up. The up-and-coming five-piece has officially signed to Long Branch Records, and to celebrate, they’ve dropped a label debut single that’s as heavy as it is theatrical: “Giving The People What They Want.”

If you like your metal groovy, weird, and completely unafraid to color outside the lines, LUTHER should already be on your radar. The band merges prog metal precision, nu metal swagger, and hardcore urgency into songs that swing from borderline-theatrical screams to soaring clean vocals. Comparisons to KORN, POPPY, and KIM DRACULA have followed them around for good reason — they operate in that same genre-bending sweet spot where alternative metal stops being predictable and starts being fun again.
“Giving The People What They Want” is a perfect thesis statement for the band. The verses lean into nu metal grit, the choruses layer progressive guitar work under hardcore-style vocals, and the pre-choruses build toward deathcore-adjacent breakdowns that hit like a freight train. The hook — “I’ll give the people what they want!” — is screamed just before the drop, and it captures the song’s central idea: if life keeps handing you rejection and unfair circumstances, you might as well romanticize the role of the entertainer. Lean into the drama. You might even find out you’re the best at it.
Production, mixing, and mastering were handled by Enrico Tiberi, current vocalist of The Ocean Collective, which explains why the track hits with such cinematic weight.
LUTHER were founded in late 2024 by musicians already deep in Berlin’s underground metal and alternative scene. Their 2025 debut single “Next Time Send a Killer” quietly went off, generating organic engagement across streaming and social platforms. Since then, they’ve opened for Escuela Grind, Silly Goose, Urne, and Predatory Void, played Rock For People 2026 in the Czech Republic, and picked up festival slots that most bands two albums deep would kill for.
Speaking of which — LUTHER’s tour calendar is stacked. They’ve been announced for Reeperbahn Festival 2026 and invited to a double-set show at Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, headlined by Bad Religion and Hatebreed.
LUTHER LIVE:
07/03 — Berlin, DE — Rocktreff Festival
08/14 — Brandenburg, DE — Beer’n’Breakdowns Festival
09/05 — Hamburg, DE — Local Core Festival

09/18 — Hamburg, DE — Reeperbahn Festival
10/26 — Berlin, DE — Female Fronted Is Not a Genre Festival
The band’s upcoming debut album is rumored to pull influence from KORN, LOATHE, GRAYHAVEN, THE MARS VOLTA, and SYSTEM OF A DOWN — a combination that reads like a wishlist for anyone tired of alt-metal playing it safe.
