Milwaukee songwriter and spoken word artist RJ Riddle continues his steady rise with the release of “Feel Good (8:14),” a hypnotic new single that dropped on August 14th.

Clocking in at just under three minutes, the track leans into a laid-back, slow-burning groove that gives Riddle plenty of room to flex his lyrical prowess. The production rides on mellow, soulful energy—danceable but contemplative, with an undercurrent of tension beneath its smooth surface. There’s a confessional edge to the delivery, the kind of rap-meets-poetry approach that has become RJ Riddle’s signature.

Born Jessie Russell, the Milwaukee native has been building momentum since his 2020 “Reconstruction” project and the 2023 “Now or Never EP,” earning coverage from local outlets and headlining showcases like “The Book of Riddles Presents: Shine” at Club Timbuktu. His work blends hip-hop, spoken word, and raw introspection—a formula that continues to resonate with Milwaukee’s underground scene.
