Skillet’s “Monster” Roars Past 4 Billion Streams as Band Sells Out European Tour

More than fifteen years after it first crawled out of the speakers, Skillet’s “Monster” refuses to stay in its cage. The 6x-platinum hard rock anthem has now clawed past 4 billion global streams, earning the Tennessee-bred juggernauts an official spot in Spotify’s Billions Club and cementing the track as one of the most-streamed rock songs of all time.

The milestone lands at the perfect moment. Skillet just wrapped a completely sold-out European headline run that moved 90,000 tickets across 23 cities, packing rooms in London, Glasgow, Paris, Munich, Warsaw, Bucharest and Barcelona. Along the way, the band broke ticket sales records at Paris’ legendary Zenith — the kind of stat that tends to shut down any lingering “are rock bands still a thing?” arguments in one swing.

If the tour proved Skillet’s live pull is still climbing, the last twelve months have quietly shown just how far their reach now stretches. Their hit “Legendary” was tapped as the featured theme song for the historic UFC event at the White House this week, and at the tail end of 2025 the band dropped their first-ever Christmas recording, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” which went viral and hit No. 1 on five Billboard charts — not bad for a debut swing at holiday music.

With 23 million-plus albums sold worldwide, over 12 million monthly Spotify listeners, two Grammy nominations, a Billboard Music Award, and three Top 5 debuts on the Billboard 200 already in the trophy case, Skillet aren’t showing any sign of slowing. The band has also hinted that some of their heaviest, hardest-hitting material to date is on the way later this year — which, given the current momentum, should scratch the itch of every fan who’s been screaming “Monster” back at them since 2009.
