Annabelle Chairlegs Announces UK & EU Headline Tour, Supports Ty Segall in Amsterdam and Brussels
Austin’s worst-kept secret is about to belong to everyone else. Annabelle Chairlegs — the moniker of singer-songwriter Lindsey Mackin — has announced an extensive UK and European headline tour this September and October, hot on the heels of her Ty Segall-produced third album, Waking Up, out now via TODO Records.
If you’ve been sleeping on this one, consider this your alarm clock. Waking Up is a raw, radiant collection of psych-drenched garage rock, warped folk melodies, and fuzzed-out confessionals — the kind of record that feels like a sun-bleached California daydream one minute and a haunted dive-bar confession the next. Recorded in Topanga, CA with Segall behind the boards, Nick Cornetti on drums, and Derek Strahan on bass, it’s a bold third chapter that trades bedroom charm for something considerably scuzzier and more sure-footed.
Critics have already been reaching for their thesauruses. Uncut called it “punk poet intensity” (8/10), MOJO clocked the “exuberant scuzz-rock that cuts to the chase,” and Record Collector described the record as “an idiosyncratic meld of garage, psych and melodic insouciance.” The Guardian, meanwhile, dubbed the single “Heavy Sleeper” “a dazed reverie.” In other words: everyone’s paying attention, and now it’s your turn.

The tour kicks off September 4 at Brighton Psych Fest and rolls through Manchester Psych Fest, Misty Fields Festival, and Bologna’s Freakout Festival, with headline dates in Glasgow, Paris, London, Bristol, and plenty more. Fans of the fuzz will also want to note the two must-see support slots opening for Ty Segall himself: September 10 at Amsterdam’s Paradiso and September 12 at Brussels’ Botanique.
