The Woods Drop New Single “Same Boat” — Music Video Sets Sail June 15

The Woods are back, and this time they’re quite literally in over their heads — in the best way possible. The Nashville-based trio have just released their brand-new single, “Same Boat,” out now via Big Shadow Glen Records, with an accompanying music video set to premiere Monday, June 15, on the American Country Network.

Made up of Raquel Cole, Dan O’Rourke, and Leland Rooney, The Woods have earned their stripes the old-fashioned way: relentless touring, sharp songwriting, and those signature three-part harmonies that have become their calling card. On “Same Boat,” Cole takes the lead vocal on a track she co-wrote with Molly Brown and Nell Maynard, with production handled by the legendary Blake Chancey. The result is exactly the kind of rootsy, harmony-rich country the band has built its reputation on — tight, honest, and effortlessly catchy.

The music video, produced and directed by Tyler Conrad, was shot aboard a yacht on the Cumberland River just outside Nashville. And in true Woods fashion, the band committed fully to the concept — all three members literally went overboard and into the water. Whether that was scripted or just a very well-timed accident, we’ll let you decide when the clip premieres on American Country Network on June 15.

The Woods have shared stages with the likes of Tim McGraw, The Cadillac Three, and Clint Black, and it’s easy to hear why. Cole, a British Columbia native, brings evocative, earnest vocals. O’Rourke, the New Jersey-born road warrior who’s called California, Arizona, and now Nashville home, adds grit and groove. And Rooney, a Dallas, Texas product of the Lone Star music circuit, rounds out the sound with the kind of instrumental chops you can’t fake. Together, their chemistry conjures an organic, close-quarters studio feel — the kind of record where you can practically hear the room.

“Same Boat” is available on all major streaming platforms right now. Mark your calendars for the video premiere on June 15, and keep tabs on tour dates, new music, and more at http://www.getintothewoods.com.

Grab a life jacket — or don’t. The Woods clearly didn’t.
