Country traditionalist Craig Campbell just handed us the soundtrack to the rest of summer. His new single, “Better By The Sea,” is officially available everywhere as of June 12, 2026 — and it’s already lighting up playlists from coast to coast.

Co-written by Campbell alongside Greg White, Jason Cannon, and Mitch Rossell, the track was produced by Bart Busch and released via Campbell’s own Grindstone Recordings through Vydia. It’s a breezy, sun-soaked cut that leans into everything Campbell does best: smooth vocals, honest storytelling, and that easy country swing that feels like rolling the windows down on the way to the shore.

For the uninitiated, Campbell has quietly been one of country music’s most consistent artists for over a decade. From his Billboard Top 15 debut “Family Man” to the fan-favorite “Keep Them Kisses Comin'” and the deeply moving “Outskirts of Heaven,” the Lyons, Georgia native has built a career on patience, persistence, and pure talent — the kind of slow-burn success story that Music Row rarely tells anymore. Since launching Grindstone Recordings in 2020, he’s been releasing his own music on his own terms, alongside projects like The Lost Files: Exhibit A & B, Class of ’89, and Almost Greatest Hits.

Off the stage, Campbell continues to give back in a big way. He recently announced that the 12th Annual Craig Campbell Celebrity Cornhole Challenge, held last week in Nashville, raised over $35,000 for The Kenny Campbell Foundation, the nonprofit he founded to honor his father, who lost his battle with colorectal cancer at age 36. To date, Campbell has raised more than one million dollars for colorectal and colon cancer research and education — proof that this guy’s heart is every bit as steady as his catalog.
