Gideon Drops New EP ‘4×4’ and “YEEHAW” Visualizer via Sumerian Records, Announces Australia, Japan and Aftershock Dates
Saddle up, partners — Tuscaloosa’s own Gideon just kicked the barn doors wide open with their brand-new EP ‘4×4,’ out now via Sumerian Records. The Alabama quartet also dropped an official visualizer for the EP’s biggest gut-punch, “YEEHAW,” and yes, it’s exactly as rowdy as the title suggests.
Following the pre-release singles “‘Til The Wheels Fall Off,” “Wrong One,” and the title track “4×4,” the full five-song ride is finally here. The band shared a note to fans about the release: “We’re happy to finally present to you all, the ‘4×4’ EP in its entirety! Shout out to Randy Lebouef and Ryan Leitru for helping us bring the vision to life, and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!”
The ‘4×4’ EP tracklist rolls out as follows: “Wrong One,” “4×4,” “‘Til The Wheels Fall Off,” “YEEHAW,” and closer “Find It As I Go.” Together, the five tracks stack up like a fully loaded truck bed — heavy, Southern-fried, and ready to run somebody off the road.

Gideon isn’t parking the truck anytime soon. The band is heading Down Under in September for a run with Bury Tomorrow and Headwreck, kicking off Friday, September 4 at The Tivoli in Brisbane and rolling through Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. From there, they’ll link back up with Bury Tomorrow for two Japan dates: Monday, September 14 at Yogibo Meta Valley in Osaka and Wednesday, September 16 at Reny Alpha in Tokyo.
Once they’re back stateside, Gideon will throw down at Aftershock 2026 on Saturday, October 3 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California — one of the heaviest festival bills of the year and a fitting home base for the ‘4×4’ era.
