Brad Paisley Reels In Another One: “Someone Else’s Arms” ft. Miranda Lambert Drops from Tacklebox
Brad Paisley isn’t slowing down. Four weeks into his ongoing Tacklebox project — a rolling series of singles unspooled one at a time rather than dumped as a traditional album — the Grammy-winning country superstar has now dropped his seventh cut, and this one comes with serious co-signing power. “Someone Else’s Arms,” a duet with fellow MCA labelmate Miranda Lambert, is available today across all digital platforms.

Written by Paisley and longtime collaborator Chris DuBois, “Someone Else’s Arms” pairs two of country music’s most decorated voices on a track that leans into the classic-leaning aesthetic Tacklebox has been quietly perfecting. Some of these songs are pulled from Brad’s deep vault of unreleased material dating back to the 90s — the era that launched his career — while others are freshly written but proudly inspired by the unmistakable sound of Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, and Alabama, alongside the 80s-era polish of George Strait and Garth Brooks. In other words: if you’ve been waiting for country music to sound like country music again, Tacklebox is your bait.
Here’s what’s landed in the Tacklebox so far:
“Fallin'”
“This Town Ain’t Small Enough”
“Without You”
“Hi Ho Silverado” (feat. David Lee Murphy)
“Overnight Low”
“Helen Back”
“Someone Else’s Arms” (feat. Miranda Lambert)
More tracks are set to roll out in the weeks ahead, so this is very much a “check back often” situation.
While the singles keep coming, Paisley himself is currently crisscrossing Europe on a ten-show run through Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. Once he’s back stateside, the BRAD PAISLEY LIVE Tour kicks into gear with dates stretching from Provo to Milwaukee, down through Florida, and wrapping in Ennis, Texas in October. Jake Worthington joins as opener on select dates. Tickets and the full routing are available at BradPaisley.com.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2001 and a recent inductee into Nashville’s Songwriters Hall of Fame, Paisley has written 21 of his 25 No. 1 hits and racked up nearly 5 billion career streams. Tacklebox is shaping up to be another chapter worth paying attention to — one single at a time.
Hit play on “Someone Else’s Arms” and keep an ear out for what Brad reels in next.
