KALEO Celebrate a Decade of A/B With Deluxe Anniversary Reissue and Gritty New “Still No Good” Video

Ten years on from the record that turned four childhood friends from Mosfellsbær into one of the biggest rock exports Iceland has ever produced, KALEO are giving A/B the anniversary treatment it deserves. The A/B (Deluxe Anniversary Edition) is out now via Rhino Records, packaged as a limited-edition double LP that pairs the original tracklist with eight bonus cuts of previously unreleased studio recordings and iconic live performances.

For a band whose debut casually racked up nearly 4 billion streams on “Way Down We Go” alone — plus a Grammy nomination for “No Good,” a No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart, and a permanent home in the credits of Yellowstone, Grey’s Anatomy, Suits, and roughly every EA Sports title on the shelf — a victory lap feels more than earned. It also feels overdue.

The deluxe edition digs into the corners of the KALEO catalog that fans have been quietly begging for. Side C debuts “Up In The Sky,” a studio track that was previously only available in Iceland, and delivers the vinyl debut of the stripped version of “Way Down We Go.” Side D leans into the band’s reputation as a genuinely mesmerizing live act, with recordings captured at Fjallsárlón, inside the Þríhnúkagígur volcano, and at Þjóðhátíð í Vestmannaeyjum. If you’ve ever wanted proof that KALEO’s atmospheric folk-blues hits harder in wild, remote places than in a stadium, this LP is your receipt.

The centerpiece of the reissue rollout is “Still No Good,” a grittier, bluesier reimagining of their Grammy-nominated breakout. Directed by Justin Pagano and filmed at United Record Pressing — the exact same room where the original “No Good” video was shot a decade ago — the new visual turns a live studio session into a meditation on time, evolution, and legacy. It opens with a short interview segment where each member reflects on how far the band has come, then slides into a performance that feels less like a remake and more like a conversation between who KALEO were and who they are now.

The timing lines up with a serious summer of live shows. KALEO’s Way Down We Go North American Tour kicks off June 27 at The Novo in Los Angeles with very special guests Dawes, Darren Kiely, and four-time Grammy-nominee Elle King along for various stretches of the run. From there, the band snakes up the West Coast, through the Rockies, across the Midwest and Canada, and finally down the East Coast, with marquee stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, NYC’s Pier 17, Nashville’s Pinnacle, and The Anthem in DC. Before all of that, they’ll headline the Bergmál Music Festival at Thingvellir National Park on June 20 — a summer solstice celebration on their home turf. As the band put it: “It is a dream come true for us. We would love for you to join us and our friends in our homeland.”

A decade in, KALEO aren’t chasing the moment that made them — they’re re-examining it, expanding it, and reminding everyone that the songs still swing. Grab A/B (Deluxe Anniversary Edition) on 2LP, revisit “Still No Good,” and if there’s a tour date within driving distance, do yourself a favor and go.
