David Nail Extends “Down To The Studs” Solo Acoustic Tour Through November 2026
By popular demand, 3x Platinum singer-songwriter David Nail is extending his critically embraced “Down To The Studs” solo acoustic tour with a fresh run of dates carrying him through November 2026. Turns out when you strip the songs down to just a guy, a guitar, and a story worth telling, people show up — and then they tell their friends.
Rather than scaling up, Nail is doubling down on intimacy. The Kennett, Missouri native known for No. 1 hits like “Let It Rain” and “Whatever She’s Got” is trading big-production country for something far more vulnerable: a listening-room experience that plays more like a conversation than a concert. It’s a bold pivot for an artist with more than a billion Pandora streams and a wall full of RIAA plaques, and by his own admission, it’s reignited the spark.
“I was so excited to embark on the shows this Spring, but as I made the first trip up towards the Northeast, I questioned whether I could pull it off,” Nail said. “Not only were the crowds great, but the entire process has renewed the passion I felt when I first began touring. It’s certainly not anything new, but it’s new to me, and I think it’s hopefully shown a side of me that no matter how many shows you’ve been to in the past, you really felt the connection that you’ll get here.”
The timing couldn’t be sharper. Nail’s first full-length album in more than a decade, “Flowers,” arrives August 21, and audiences on this run will get an unvarnished look at the songwriting, life experiences, and creative reinvention that shaped it. Recent singles “The Crown,” “Fare Thee Well,” and “She Knows” hint at a more reflective, organic chapter — one that puts family, memory, and hard-earned perspective front and center.
