Rising Insane & ACCVSED Unleash Ferocious New Video for “Dark” — DEATHRACE Drops August 21
German metalcore juggernauts Rising Insane are showing no signs of slowing down. Fresh off the million-streaming success of their crossover hit “Good Enough,” the quintet has locked arms with ACCVSED for a bruising new single called “Dark” — and the accompanying video is exactly the kind of pit-starter you’d hope for from two bands with this much to prove.
“Dark” arrives as the latest preview of Rising Insane’s forthcoming album DEATHRACE, out August 21 via Long Branch Records. It’s a track that almost didn’t make the cut — and hearing it now, that’s genuinely hard to believe.
“‘DARK’ was actually on the chopping block for the album for a long time before it unexpectedly transformed into a single,” the band shared. “When Sven played the instrumental for the first time, some incredible vocal ideas immediately clicked. But as it often goes, initial ideas don’t always pan out the way you hope. As a result, the song ended up gathering dust for a while. Yet, that initial spark from the instrumental version never truly faded, which pushed us to give it a second shot — and that definitive rewrite finally brought ‘DARK’ to life. Being able to bring ACCVSED on board for a feature was an absolute blessing, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

Since forming, Rising Insane have gone from scrappy independent upstarts to a genuine international force, sharing stages with the likes of Papa Roach, Of Mice & Men, and Stray From the Path along the way. DEATHRACE is billed as their most uncompromising chapter yet — trading in polish for raw power and primal riffs, and rounding out its guest list with appearances from CASKETS (on the aforementioned “Good Enough”), Steven Jones of Bleed From Within (on “Error”), and David Schneider of The Butcher Sisters (on “Grey”).
