King Falcon Chase the Light on Aching New Single “Nothing Feels Amazing” — Watch the Brooklyn-Shot Video

New York City alternative rock trio King Falcon are back with another emotionally charged anthem, and this one hits where it hurts. “Nothing Feels Amazing,” out now, is the kind of soaring, hook-drenched rock song that turns numbness into catharsis — a track that stares into the void and finds a chorus big enough to shout back at it.

Picking up where their recent single “Wait” left off, “Nothing Feels Amazing” trades the immediate sting of hardship for something even trickier: acceptance. Frontman and primary songwriter Michael Rubin explains, “It captures the emotional progression from the immediate reaction to a situation into the difficult acceptance that some things can’t be changed. There’s a numbness that comes with that acceptance and I thought the visual of the melted ice cream in the single artwork encapsulated that perfectly.”

Shot in Dumbo and at Brooklyn’s famed Jane’s Carousel, the accompanying music video is a visual gut punch dressed up as a sunny afternoon. Director Niko Stykos leaned into the contrast on purpose. “It’s a song for people going through a hard time in life whether it’s a bad breakup, feeling a sense of loss, or suffering from PTSD,” he shares. “We decided to film things that would normally bring enjoyment such as ice cream, riding a carousel, and spending time in a beautiful park on a sunny day. The bridge looming behind Michael represents the hidden weight many of us carry that is so often unseen while the ice cream melting and carousel spinning faster and faster show how easy it is to let life pass us by.”

That balance of grit and hope has become the King Falcon signature. Formed in 2020 in the Brooklyn scene and rounded out by bassist Joe Conserva and drummer Dipayan “Dip” Chakraborty, the trio have racked up over 1.5 million streams, played more than 150 shows in the last two years, and drawn nods from Guitar World (who called them “one of NYC’s most exciting indie rock bands”) and MXDWN, who tagged them “Best New Artist.” Their 2025 breakout “Plastic Crown” hit #1 on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Rock Playlist for multiple weeks, and follow-up “Holding Out” is currently sitting in SubModern’s Top 10 Most Played Songs of 2026.
