156/Silence Announce ‘From A Distance’ US Headlining Tour with Aviana, Heavensgate & Fromjoy

Pittsburgh’s atmospheric metalcore titans 156/Silence are gearing up for one of their biggest chapters yet. The band has officially announced the “From A Distance Tour,” a US headlining run set to kick off Wednesday, September 9, in Worcester, Massachusetts and wrap in their hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 3. Joining them on the road are Aviana, Heavensgate, and Fromjoy — a stacked support bill that promises to deliver bruises and bragging rights in equal measure.

The tour arrives hot on the heels of the band’s forthcoming sixth full-length, “From A Distance,” due Friday, September 4 via Pure Noise Records. It’s their first record for the label and the spiritual sequel to 2024’s breakout “People Watching.” Produced by Josh Schroeder (King 810, Lorna Shore, The Plot In You), the album leans harder into atmosphere, mood, and emotional weight without sacrificing the cinematic brutality longtime fans expect. Guest features include Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada, Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, and Tony Castrati of Crippling Alcoholism.

Fans got their first taste of the new era with lead single “No Arms,” and the accompanying music video is streaming now:

Thematically, “From A Distance” pulls back the lens. Where earlier 156/Silence records documented tension at close range, this one examines the wider view — celebrity worship on “Proxy Idols,” intrusive thoughts on “Swept From Under (Call of The Void),” and the quiet unraveling of everyday life on “Order & Entropy.” Vocalist Jack Murray describes the title track as “a love song” and “probably the most Twin Peaks-inspired song” on the record, and yes, there’s even a nod to Apple TV’s “Severance” opening the album. If that sounds like a lot of prestige TV energy for a metalcore album, that’s kind of the point.

Tickets for the “From A Distance Tour” go on sale Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m. local time. Before the headliner kicks off, 156/Silence will be busy on the road with a run of one-off dates alongside Coldstate in August, the “It’s Not You, It’s Me Tour” with Chiodos, sace6, and Calva Louise, plus festival appearances at Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life.
