Out today via the 23-year-old Belgian producer-artist, ‘mulholland drive’ is an eight-track cinematic journey that trades polished pop instincts for atmosphere, texture, and instinct. Built between Brussels and Los Angeles, the EP is a portrait of an artist mid-transition — someone whose beats have already racked up hundreds of millions of streams behind the scenes, and who’s now stepping fully into the frame.

Sequenced chronologically by creation date, the project unfolds like a diary you shouldn’t be reading. It opens with “without me,” an ethereal collaboration with European vocalist Seniah, before revisiting the breakout single “want u” — the bedroom-made flip of Clara La San’s “You” that’s currently nearing Gold certification and helped push noevdv toward nearly 3 million monthly Spotify listeners. From there, the EP moves through the euphoric rework “i luv your girl,” the fragmented vocal experiments of “wonder about you,” and the atmospheric weight of “illamerica.”

The emotional pivot lands on “never had the time,” where noevdv steps behind the mic himself for the first time, layering reverb-soaked vocals and spoken-word reflection into an interlude that feels less like a song and more like an overheard thought. “I’ve always wanted to build a world around the music. Not just make sounds, but create a feeling, a visual identity, a whole universe people can step into,” noevdv says. “‘mulholland drive’ is really about moving between two worlds and trying to find balance between them.”

For an artist who came up uploading beats to YouTube on the outskirts of Brussels — and whose instrumentals were sampled into virality by rapper Cl4pers before he was old enough to legally drink in the States — ‘mulholland drive’ is less a debut than a reveal.
