The Red Clay Strays have officially arrived at their moment of jubilation. Out today via HBYCO Records/RCA Records, the Mobile, Alabama band’s third studio album, Grateful, is an 11-track roots-rock revival that feels equally at home rattling the walls of a Saturday night dance hall and echoing through Sunday morning church steeples. If Moment of Truth was about holding faith in dark times, and Made By These Moments was about surviving them, Grateful is the sound of a band finally exhaling and giving thanks.

Reuniting with 9x GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb between his Savannah home studio and the hallowed RCA Studio A in Nashville, the six-piece — Brandon Coleman, Drew Nix, Andrew Bishop, Zach Rishel, John Hall, and Sevans Henderson — have made the kind of loose, lived-in record that only comes from a band that trusts one another in a room. Songs were workshopped on the fly. Ideas turned into anthems. And critics have already taken notice: Rolling Stone dropped a 4-star review calling them “a bona fide rock & roll band,” while NPR simply labeled it “another one of those no-skip albums… 10 out of 10.”

To mark the release, the band unveiled a gorgeous new music video for album highlight “Do Today.” Directed by Matthew Coleman, the clip features dancer Sarah Allen delivering an improvisational performance that mirrors the song’s sweeping, gospel-tinged balladry — a beautiful visual match for one of Grateful’s most emotionally arresting moments. Elsewhere on the record, the churning single “People Hatin'” showcases the Strays’ sweat-drenched rock instincts, while “If I Didn’t Know You” leans into tender romanticism (its music video, co-starring comedian Matt Rife and fitness influencer Mariah Morse, has already racked up over 5 million views). Lead single “Demons In Your Choir” got the full gospel-choir treatment when the band performed it live at the 61st ACM Awards — the same night they took home Group of the Year for the second consecutive year. They’ve also been named to Billboard’s Country Power Players Groundbreaker list for 2026.

The celebration doesn’t stop with the album drop. The Grateful Tour ’26 — the band’s biggest headline run yet — launches July 30 at Merriweather Post Pavilion and rolls through mid-November, with marquee stops at TD Garden, Madison Square Garden, Rogers Arena, two nights at Bridgestone Arena, State Farm Arena, and a December 5 finale at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Special guests along the way include The Revivalists, Dylan Gossett, Wyatt Flores, Muscadine Bloodline, Shane Smith and The Saints, Sierra Ferrell, Travis Tritt, Haley Reinhart, Brent Cobb, and Australia’s Sweet Talk.
