Memphis May Fire are back, and they aren’t pulling any punches. The metalcore mainstays have officially announced their new album Broken, arriving November 16 via Rise Records, and if the lead single is any indication, this record is going to hit hard in more ways than one.

Frontman Matty Mullins didn’t shy away from the heavy subject matter behind the track. “‘The Old Me’ is about my struggle with anxiety and depression,” Mullins explained. “What feels like a war between good and evil, loathing the person I become mentally when it consumes me, and trying to remember what life was like before I lived with the symptoms. Ultimately hoping to one day become that person — ‘The Old Me’ — again.”

It’s the kind of honesty that has kept Memphis May Fire’s fanbase deeply loyal for over a decade, and it sets the emotional tone for a 10-track album that promises to dig into some seriously personal territory. The full Broken tracklist includes “The Old Me,” “Watch Out,” “Sell My Soul,” “Who I Am,” “Heavy Is the Weight,” “Over It,” “Fool,” “Mark My Words,” “You and Me,” and “Live Another Day.”

Not content to just drop a record and disappear, Memphis May Fire are also hitting the road this fall on a massive North American run with Atreyu and Ice Nine Kills. The tour kicks off November 9 in Phoenix and blazes through nearly 30 cities before wrapping up December 13 in Anaheim.
