Dave Wilbert Bottles Up Sunshine On Nostalgic New Single “All Summer Long”

If your summer playlist is missing that easygoing, 90s-country-radio glow, Dave Wilbert has your prescription ready. The country traditionalist and independent recording artist is turning up the heat with “All Summer Long,” a feel-good anthem that arrives June 5 via Wilbilly Records — and yes, it sounds exactly like the kind of song you want blasting from a boat speaker while somebody yells “one more lap around the cove.”

Co-written with Troy Clampitt and recorded at The Freeway Studio, the track was co-produced by Wilbert alongside Lonnie Wilson and Julian King. The result is a bright, breezy cut built on jangly guitar progressions, laid-back coastal imagery, and the kind of nostalgic storytelling Wilbert has quietly built his reputation on. Think shaking off the winter blues, tossing the cooler in the truck, and letting sunset margaritas do the rest.

“This song was written to capture the care-free feelings of summertime on the water,” Wilbert says. “The song evokes memories from the past and paints a picture of upcoming adventures.”

Lyrically, “All Summer Long” leans into the universal stuff — connection, escape, cruising on open water, classic summer songs on the stereo, and living fully in the moment. It’s tailor-made for lake days, backyard cookouts, and any playlist where flip-flops are considered formalwear. Fans of contemporary country and the coastal country lane will find plenty to love.

“‘All Summer Long’ is the kind of song which pays tribute to iconic musical figures that embody summertime anthems across our great American culture,” Wilbert adds.

Wilbert is backing the release with a busy run of appearances, kicking off with a CMA Fest fan meet-and-greet on June 4 at the Cumberland Road Trading Post inside Fan Fair X in Nashville. From there, he’ll headline the launch of the “An Evening at M.B. Roland” Live Music Series on June 13 in Pembroke, Ky., followed by dates at Andy’s Farm in Centerville, Tenn. on June 20 and Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio on August 14.

Raised around farming and agriculture, Wilbert writes from a place of hard work, small-town living, and the everyday stories that shape rural America. His 2025 debut album, Live from America (It’s Saturday Night), introduced listeners to a sound that honors country’s traditional roots while nudging the genre gently forward. “All Summer Long” is the next chapter — and a strong argument that summer just got its unofficial soundtrack.

Pre-save “All Summer Long” now and cue it up for June 5. The lake is calling.
