Milwaukee’s one-man black metal machine Imprecation Of Love is back at it again, and if you’ve been paying any attention to the local underground, you already know that Alexander Tinoco doesn’t do “quiet quarters.” The prolific project — which has been steadily stacking up releases since its emergence — returns with a new offering titled “Forgotten Love,” and it’s exactly the kind of frost-bitten, heart-on-a-blackened-sleeve dispatch fans of the project have come to expect.

Where a lot of black metal projects lean hard into corpse-painted theatrics, Imprecation Of Love has always operated on a different emotional wavelength.
