KALEO Get Grittier on “Still No Good” as A/B 10-Year Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hits Vinyl June 12
Ten years on from the debut that turned four childhood friends from Mosfellsbær, Iceland into one of alternative rock’s most-synced, most-streamed exports, KALEO are cracking open the vault — and getting a little dirtier while they’re at it.
The band today shared “Still No Good,” a grittier, swampier reimagining of their 2015 GRAMMY-nominated single “No Good.” Where the original leaned into the muscular alt-rock riffing that made A/B a modern rock staple, this new version strips things down to bare wire: acoustic slide, dust-in-the-throat vocals, and the kind of front-porch blues feel that suggests the song was always hiding a second life.
“It’s a grittier, swampier, bluesier version of the original that we’ve been playing around with for years,” says frontman JJ Julius Son. “I’m happy we finally had the chance to record it.”

“Still No Good” is one of eight bonus tracks featured on the A/B (Deluxe Anniversary Edition) 2LP, out June 12 via Rhino Records and available for pre-order now. The limited-edition vinyl commemorates the breakout record that spawned “All The Pretty Girls,” “No Good,” and the ubiquitous “Way Down We Go” — the latter a No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Rock chart with nearly 4 billion streams and more than 3 million TikToks to its name.
The deluxe set fleshes out the original tracklist with rarities and live cuts fans have been begging for on wax: the vinyl debut of the “Way Down We Go” stripped version, “Up In The Sky” (a studio track previously only available in Iceland), and a handful of era-defining live performances — including “Way Down We Go” recorded inside the Þríhnúkagígur volcano and “Save Yourself” from Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon. If that reads like a travel brochure, well, KALEO have always understood that the landscape is part of the sound.
A/B (Deluxe Edition Vinyl) tracklist:

Side B: All The Pretty Girls / Automobile / Vor Í Vaglaskógi / Save Yourself / I Can’t Go On Without You

To celebrate, KALEO are launching their extensive Way Down We Go Tour across North America this summer with an enviable supporting cast: 4x GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Elle King, Dawes, and Darren Kiely. The run kicks off June 27 at The Novo in Los Angeles and rolls up the West Coast, through the Rockies (including a marquee July 14 date at Red Rocks), across the Midwest and Canada, and finishes on the East Coast in August with stops at NYC’s Pier 17 and Nashville’s Pinnacle.
Before all that, the band will headline the inaugural Bergmál Music Festival at Thingvellir National Park in Iceland on June 20 — a summer solstice weekend celebration featuring some of the country’s biggest artists. “It is a dream come true for us,” the band says. “We would love for you to join us and our friends in our homeland.”
