Milwaukee’s own Slowlife Tito is back with a new three-track EP, Self Made!, and yes—he’s still putting in the work the only way he knows how: independently.

The title track off the project is a confident, laid-back declaration of self-sufficiency. Clocking in at just over a minute and a half, the song wastes zero time getting to the point. Tito rides a slow-burning, groove-heavy beat that prioritizes atmosphere over aggression. Slowlife Tito has been grinding in Milwaukee’s underground hip-hop scene for nearly a decade, dropping projects like the Overdrive EP with $uki back in 2016, the sprawling The 39th Martyr mixtape in 2019, and the more polished Magnum Opus EP. Through it all, his approach has stayed consistent: trap-influenced beats, introspective street narratives, and a commitment to the DIY ethos that defines so much of Milwaukee’s independent music community.
