George Strait and Lainey Wilson Join Alan Jackson’s “Last Call: One More For The Road – The Finale” in Nashville

If you thought Alan Jackson’s farewell party couldn’t get any bigger, well… pour yourself a Silverbelly and sit down. The Country Music Hall of Famer just added two more heavy hitters to the guest list for Last Call: One More For The Road – The Finale, and the names on that RSVP card should make every country fan in America consider a pilgrimage to Nashville.

George Strait – yes, the King of Country Music himself, with over 100 million RIAA certifications and 60-plus major industry awards to his name – and Lainey Wilson, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, have officially been added to Jackson’s sold-out sendoff. The show goes down Saturday, June 27 at Nissan Stadium, home of the Tennessee Titans, and it is billed as the final full-length concert of Jackson’s touring career. No pressure or anything.

Strait and Jackson have a shared history longer than a George Jones outro. The two Hall of Famers have traded verses on “Designated Drinker” and the CMA Award–winning “Murder on Music Row,” released a concert album and DVD with the late Jimmy Buffett, and delivered one of the most gut-punching CMA Awards moments ever with their duet of “He Stopped Loving Her Today” following the passing of George Jones in 2013. A decade ago, they teamed up again for a medley of Jackson’s “Remember When” and Strait’s “Troubadour” during the CMA Awards’ 50th anniversary. In other words, when these two share a stage, you take notes.

Lainey Wilson’s Jackson fandom is well-documented too. She was part of the all-star tribute when Jackson received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 CMA Awards, delivering “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow” before diving into an ensemble rendition of “Don’t Rock the Jukebox.” Passing the torch never sounded so good.

Strait and Wilson are joining an already stacked bill that includes Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Lee Ann Womack, Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright, and Carlisle Wright. Basically, if country radio has played it in the last three decades, someone on that list probably sang it.

Presented by Edward Jones and Silverbelly Whiskey and promoted by Doussan Music Group and Peachtree Entertainment, Last Call: One More For The Road – The Finale caps a touring career that stretched from coast to coast across the U.S., sea to sea across Canada, and all the way to Australia, Brazil, and Europe. Over the past four years, the Last Call run has played to sellout crowds night after night – so it’s only right the final chapter be a barn-burner. For every ticket sold, $1.00 is being donated to the CMT Research Foundation to help fund research into Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, matched by an additional $2.00 from a generous donor.
