Randy Travis Announces Final Dates of the More Life Tour with James Dupré
After a remarkable two-year run that has stretched across 54 cities and 24 states, Country Music Hall of Fame legend Randy Travis is bringing the More Life Tour in for its final landing. This fall, the beloved singer will conclude the tour with a run of dates crossing Georgia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, New York, New England, Texas, and points beyond — a farewell lap for one of the most emotionally resonant tours in country music today.
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m. local time, with pre-sales kicking off Wednesday, May 27 at 10 a.m. local time via RandyTravis.com.
Since Randy’s near-fatal stroke in 2013, the shape of a Randy Travis show has changed — but the spirit hasn’t. Travis appears on stage each night with his wife, Mary, greeting fans, sharing the stage with his longtime touring band, and celebrating the songs that made him a household name. Special guest vocalist James Dupré, hand-picked by Randy and Mary back in 2019, carries the vocals on the classics — “On the Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” “Three Wooden Crosses,” and a catalog of hits that helped define modern country music.
“The More Life Tour celebrates something so much more than a musical moment in time,” Travis said. “It’s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupré perfectly presents the songs that best define my career. We look forward to seeing you all somewhere along the way.”
Dupré, a Louisiana native with a smooth baritone that has drawn comparisons to the country giants, called the run one of the greatest honors of his life. “Night after night, it’s been incredible to see how much Randy’s music still means to people. As we head into these final dates, I’m grateful to Randy, Mary, and the fans for letting me be part of something this special.”
Fans have reciprocated in kind. Testimonials from the road describe the show as “life-changing,” “the best concert I’ve ever been to,” and a reminder that “we still have more life” left to live. It’s the rare tour that leaves audiences laughing, crying, and walking out feeling like they witnessed something bigger than a concert.
While these dates mark the end of the More Life Tour as a concept, don’t call it a goodbye. Given Randy’s resilience and his continued love affair with his fans, this won’t be the last time audiences get to share a room with the man behind 23 No. 1 singles and a Country Music Hall of Fame plaque.
