Leipzig metalcore outfit blacktoothed have just dropped “Tell Me I’m Not Alone,” a track that pulls no punches when it comes to staring down the fear of change and the strange, sticky comfort of staying stuck in familiar darkness. It’s the kind of song that feels like a 3 a.m. text you almost didn’t send.

Sonically, the band threads ethereal vocals through restless drum and bass-inspired rhythms and crushing modern heaviness, landing somewhere between vulnerable confession and explosive catharsis.
