Nashville knows how to throw a party, and Melody Place is about to prove it. The boutique Music City label is rolling out the red carpet — or in this case, the lounge couch — for its first-ever Melody Place Sunset Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Nashville on Thursday, June 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Translation: free, climate-controlled, riverfront vibes with some of the biggest voices in the business. Try beating that with a folding chair on Broadway.

The label is stacking the room with talent that spans country, Broadway, pop, and pretty much anything else you’d want playing on a Thursday evening. Count them in: country powerhouse Sara Evans, Broadway and film favorite Katharine McPhee, record-breaking vocalist Jackie Evancho, pop sensation Pia Toscano, and rising country newcomer Braden Hull. Toss in a few promised “surprises,” and you’ve got a showcase that reads less like a label event and more like an awards show afterparty.

Set against the backdrop of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium, the Sunset Lounge will lean into casual, conversational energy — snacks, beverages, lounge vibes, and live music — making it the ideal kickoff to festival weekend in Nashville. Public registration is free, but entry is first-come, first-served and subject to capacity, so don’t show up at 7:58 pm expecting a front-row seat.

Founded in 2018 by Chairman Leigh Shockey and steered by President/GM Sanborn McGraw and COO Tony Gottlieb, Melody Place has quickly built a reputation as one of Nashville’s most distinctive independent labels. The roster also includes Tony-nominated Broadway breakout Jasmine Amy Rogers, and the company recently co-produced the Broadway hit Boop! The Musical with David Foster — a show that pulled in three Tony nominations, three Outer Critics Circle Awards, and 11 Drama Desk nods. Not bad for a “boutique” operation.
