Joyous Wolf Sign to Blue Grape Music, Announce New Album ‘In Between’ Out August 21, Share “Juniper”

Southern California rock outfit Joyous Wolf have found a new home. The band — vocalist Pedro Cordeiro, guitarist Blake Allard, drummer Robert Sodaro, and bassist Greg Braccio — has officially signed to Blue Grape Music, the label founded by Roadrunner Records veterans Cees Wessels and David Rath. To celebrate the partnership, the group has announced a new full-length, In Between, due August 21 via Blue Grape, and dropped a slinky, swaggering new single called “Juniper” to set the tone.

If you’re unfamiliar with Joyous Wolf, here’s the short version: the Orange County four-piece traffics in a sweaty hybrid of hard-driving rock ‘n’ roll, soul, blues, and alternative, the kind of sound that pulls equally from classic FM radio staples and modern alt-rock heavyweights. They cut their teeth working the Sunset Strip club circuit before graduating to international stages, and that road-tested chemistry is all over the new material.

“Juniper” is the first taste of In Between, and it leans into the band’s knack for grit-meets-groove songwriting. According to Allard, the track “tackles the sting of betrayal through a subconscious lens, focusing on the rules of a game that only the characters truly understand.” Translation: it’s a song about getting played, set to a riff that feels like a slow-burning fuse.

The In Between tracklist is as follows:

1. Runaway
2. Juniper
3. In Your Shadow
4. Karma
5. Get Myself Right
6. Fine By Me
7. Storm New
8. Talk To Me
9. The Mechanic

Joyous Wolf join a Blue Grape roster that has quickly become one of the most exciting in heavy and alternative music, with labelmates including Code Orange, White Reaper, Spiritual Cramp, Superheaven, GEL, Fugitive, and recent signees Power Trip. In other words, they’re in very good company.

Pre-save In Between now and get familiar with “Juniper” before the full record lands on August 21. If the lead single is any indication, this is shaping up to be one of the more compelling rock releases of late summer.
