Blue October Premieres New “18th Floor Balcony” Video Tonight, Drops ‘Foiled’ 20th Anniversary Vinyl May 29
Twenty years ago, a scrappy Houston rock outfit named Blue October walked into the mainstream consciousness with an album called Foiled — and somehow, two decades, a platinum plaque, and several million emotional listening sessions later, the record still hits like it’s 2006.
To mark the milestone, Blue October is rolling out the red carpet for the album that put them on the map, and tonight is the next big moment in that celebration. The band will premiere a brand-new music video for the fan-favorite “18th Floor Balcony” on YouTube at 7PM CT, complete with a live fan Q&A from frontman Justin Furstenfeld and company. If you’ve ever sung the line “I’ll never let you fall” at full volume in a parking lot, consider this your official invitation.

The “18th Floor Balcony” video is the latest chapter in a year-long anniversary campaign that kicked off in March with a new visual for “Congratulations.” But the real prize for vinyl collectors arrives May 29, when Foiled gets its first-ever vinyl release via Republic/UMe — and the band didn’t cut corners. There are three editions to choose from: a newly remastered 2LP on 180-gram black vinyl with a gatefold jacket and fold-out lyric insert; a Foiled Deluxe 2LP pressed on smoky translucent vinyl that includes exclusive bonus tracks (think: an acoustic “Hate Me” and two rare “X Amount of Words” remixes); and a webstore/tour-exclusive Limited Edition 2LP pressed on silver marble vinyl. All three are up for pre-order now at the band’s official shop.
Then comes the part the diehards have been waiting for. Beginning October 22 in Abilene, TX, Justin Furstenfeld, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, and bassist Matt Noveskey will hit the road on the Blue October: 20th Anniversary World Tour, performing Foiled front to back every single night. Danny Malone opens the first leg through November 15, with Jess Woodland taking over from November 17 through December 20 — a run that includes a three-night Houston hometown stand at 713 Music Hall (one already sold out, one just added).
And if you can’t catch them in 2026, the band has already announced a second North American leg launching January 29, 2027 in Midland, TX, and stretching coast-to-coast through Mar. 14, 2027 in Rockford, IL, with stops in Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, and beyond.
Tune in tonight at 7PM CT for the “18th Floor Balcony” premiere and Q&A, pre-order your vinyl of choice before May 29, and grab tour tickets at blueoctober.com/tour-dates before the Foiled faithful beat you to it.
