Ryan Perdz Announces Debut Album ‘Can’t Cry’ Out August 14 via Big Machine Rock, Drops New Single “Heavy Eyes”
Buffalo, NY’s Ryan Perdz isn’t easing into his debut — he’s kicking the door down. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has officially announced his first full-length album, ‘Can’t Cry,’ arriving Friday, August 14 via Big Machine Rock. To mark the occasion, Perdz has shared the album’s emotional centerpiece, “Heavy Eyes,” along with a gut-punch of an official music video.
If you grew up on the bruised melodicism of Chris Cornell, the dynamic shifts of Nirvana, and the swagger of Red Hot Chili Peppers, ‘Can’t Cry’ is built for your headphones. Perdz funnels those influences through a thoroughly modern lens — soft, conversational verses that detonate into anthemic, arena-sized choruses. “Heavy Eyes” is the blueprint: a song about the weight of losing someone, delivered with the kind of clarity that only comes from actually living it.
“‘Can’t Cry’ is my take on modern rock. All my inspirations in one,” Perdz said of the record. “The lyrics on this album I hold close and I feel like it tells a story many people can relate to today, helping those who struggle in silence not feel so alone.”
On the new single, he added: “The inspiration behind ‘Heavy Eyes’ is the struggle of losing someone and the weight it holds in your life. My lyrics will speak to the people who sometimes can’t speak for themselves.”

Raised on his grandparents’ family farm, Perdz taught himself guitar at age ten before picking up bass, violin, and mandolin — a multi-instrumentalist’s toolkit that shows up all over ‘Can’t Cry.’ After independently releasing his First Sight EP and racking up tens of millions of views across social media, he signed with Big Machine Rock in 2025 and got to work on his debut. The result is a record about isolation, self-doubt, and perseverance that feels lived-in rather than performed.
Fans can catch Perdz live starting Thursday, June 11 at Toronto’s NXNE Fest, followed by a US headlining run.
