The Revivalists Drop Soulful New Single “Razorblades and Runways” Ahead of July 24 Album “Get It Honest”
The Revivalists are back in introspective form. The RIAA Multi-Platinum-certified New Orleans eight-piece has shared “Razorblades and Runways,” a bittersweet, soft-soul-tinged new single out now via Concord Records — and the latest preview of their long-awaited sixth studio album, Get It Honest, arriving Friday, July 24.
Where opening salvo “Heart Stop” (currently #21 on the Triple A radio chart) squared up to the future with howling defiance, “Razorblades and Runways” turns the lens inward. Frontman David Shaw spends the track reckoning with the years he burned chasing thrills and feeding his ego, then pivots to the people — and one very lucky cat — keeping him grounded today.
“Looking back, I spent years chasing thrills fueled by ego,” Shaw says. “Now I get to pursue my craft with the same passion, but instead the thing that drives me is my family, my wife, my daughter, my friends, and Ricky Peach, my cat who gets a nod in this tune.”

Get It Honest marks the band’s first all-new full-length in over three years and their second collaboration with GRAMMY-winning producer Rich Costey (Vampire Weekend, Foo Fighters, Death Cab for Cutie), recorded at Vermont’s bucolic Guilford Sound. With seven of the band’s eight members now fathers, the 12-track set lands as an unapologetic grown-folks record — songs about cutting loose from the past, leaning into love and gratitude, and finally sounding exactly like the band wants to sound. As Shaw puts it, “Our flaws and imperfections are what ultimately make us human and beautiful.”
To celebrate, The Revivalists have announced the Get It Honest Tour, kicking off July 14 with two sold-out nights at Nantucket’s Chicken Box and running through November. Support across the run comes from Robert Randolph, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Paul McDonald, Wells Ferrari, True Loves, Rustic Overtones, and Olivia Barnes. In a particularly Revivalists move, the band has partnered with Concerted on an “honest ticket” program — fans who volunteer two hours of community service can earn a ticket in exchange for the good deed.
The live schedule is, predictably, massive. Highlights include an Opry 100 celebration at the Grand Ole Opry (May 22) alongside Taylor Hicks, Kathy Mattea, Steven Curtis Chapman and Ricky Skaggs; a FIFA Fan Festival set during the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Vancouver (June 11); a record-release weekend headline at David Shaw’s Big River Get Down in Hamilton, OH (July 25); a special run supporting The Red Clay Strays that lands at Madison Square Garden on August 9; their annual return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre (September 25); and the inaugural The Revivalists Present Otherside of Paradise at Sea cruise from Miami to Nassau aboard Norwegian Jewel (November 3–7).
Pre-orders and pre-saves for Get It Honest are live now. Full tour routing and tickets are available at therevivalists.com/tour — and if you’ve got a couple of free hours and a good heart, that “honest ticket” is waiting for you.
