Chance The Rapper Announces ‘Coloring Book 10’ Anniversary Tour: Dates, Tickets, and Everything to Know

Ten years ago, an independent kid from Chicago handed the music industry a gospel-rap masterpiece, ran off with a couple of GRAMMYs, and quietly rewrote the rulebook for what an artist could do without a label. Now, Chance The Rapper is taking that landmark moment back on the road. The Chicago native has officially announced The Coloring Book 10 Tour, a sweeping North American run celebrating the 10th anniversary of the mixtape that changed everything.

Promoted by Live Nation, the tour kicks off Tuesday, August 11 at Cleveland’s House of Blues and rolls through Montreal, Toronto, New York’s SummerStage in Central Park, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver and a whole lot more before wrapping up Sunday, October 11 at Citizens Live at The Wylie in Pittsburgh.

For the uninitiated (or anyone who somehow missed 2016), Coloring Book was the first streaming-only project to win a GRAMMY Award, and it made Chance the first independent artist to take home the trophy. Built alongside Nico Segal, Peter Cottontale and The Social Experiment, with additional production from Kaytranada, Brasstracks, and Francis and the Lights, the mixtape blended gospel, hip-hop, and soulful live instrumentation into something that felt like Sunday service and a block party at the same time. Add in features from Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Kirk Franklin, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, T-Pain and Saba, and you’ve got a record Rolling Stone called a “gospel-rap masterpiece” and Complex deemed “a defining moment for independent artists.”
