Jamie Allan’s “Amaze” Pulls Another Rabbit Out of the Hat: Drama Desk-Nominated Magic Show Extends Through January 2027

If you’ve been putting off seeing Jamie Allan’s Amaze because you assumed it would always be there — well, congratulations, your procrastination just paid off. Again. Starvox Entertainment has announced that the critically acclaimed magic show is extending its Off-Broadway run for a fourth time, with a fresh block of tickets now on sale for performances through January 31, 2027, at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) in New York City.

That’s right — fourth time. At this point, Amaze isn’t extending so much as it is quietly setting up permanent residency in Midtown.

The show recently picked up two Drama Desk nominations — Unique Theatrical Experience and Outstanding Puppetry — and recouped its initial investment after just 37 weeks Off-Broadway, which in theater-economics terms is roughly the equivalent of pulling a live dove out of a balance sheet. In July 2026, the production will officially cross the one-year mark at New World Stages.

“We’re thrilled to extend for a fourth time, thanks to the extraordinary support from NYC audiences,” said Corey Ross, CEO of Starvox Entertainment. “Amaze is a must-see experience, combining heartfelt storytelling with astonishing magic, and it’s perfect for families, date nights, and anyone looking to experience a little wonder in the heart of New York City.”

At the center of the show is Jamie Allan himself, a magician who has been bending the rules of illusion since debuting his iMagician brand on British TV back in 1995 — as a teenager. Since then, he’s folded holograms, lasers, 3D video mapping, and interactive media into a live experience that feels less like a traditional magic act and more like watching the future try to convince you it isn’t real.

“Bringing Amaze into 2027 is incredibly exciting,” Allan said. “I’m honored to share my story and childlike wonder with audiences every night in New York City.”

The show is an international success story, having stunned audiences in London’s West End (where The Times made it a Critic’s Pick) before Allan went on to become Chicago’s highest-selling magician of all time with iMagician. Critics in New York have been equally generous: the Chicago Tribune called it “a masterclass in magic,” comparing Allan’s artistic instincts to those of Stephen Sondheim and Tony Kushner. TheaterMania called it “a delight for all ages,” and New York Stage Review praised the “stunning illusions…leaving you shaking your head in bafflement.” Penn & Teller, two of Allan’s personal heroes, weighed in with the kind of endorsement money can’t buy: “You will love this show. We did.”

The creative team includes co-creators Jamie Allan and Tommy Bond, featured artist Natalia Love, director Jonathan Goodwin, Illusion Director Richard Young, and Set Designer Damien Stanton. Corey Ross produces, with Steve Sterling as executive producer and Harry De Cruz serving as creative consultant and alternate lead. Harry De Cruz will perform in place of Jamie Allan at select performances.

Amaze is recommended for ages 6 to 106, runs 2 hours and 15 minutes with one intermission, and features haze, loud noises, and — per the official warning — “very powerful magic.” Consider yourself notified.
