It’s always a special day when we get to film with the brilliant Nick Mulvey.

Returning for another iconic Mahogany Session, Nick performs his beautiful, meditative song, “Solastalgia.”

We first filmed Nick Mulvey in an early Mahogany Session in Regent’s Park 12 years ago, then in Thailand 2 years later, then in Zermatt back in 2015. It was so nice to reconnect and film this one in 2025.

The song explores the feeling of ‘solastalgia’, which is a form of homesickness someone feels for a place that is changing before their very eyes. With his intricate guitar work and a voice that so familiar but so developed now, this is a truly calm music session, perfect for quiet reflection.
