REVIEW: BigXthaPlug at Summerfest
Forearms collided with forearms to create an “X” symbol throughout the entire crowd, even during Symba’s set prior to BigX’s arrival. As the bleachers became more crowded and pits in the front and side were filled to the brim, elbows, shoulders and everything in-between began to collide too in anticipation for the show. On the cue of X’s trademark “uh-huh” by the DJ, the treacherous pits erupted into even more of a frenzy. Although fans bordered on unruly, drawing both the willing and the hesitant into the mosh circles opening up, excitement is to blame rather than any mean spirit. As BigX and the rest of the 600 Ent. gang threw money into the crowd and stripped their shirts off, a mosaic of chaos was formed on and around the Generac stage. Whether or not they were ever to be seen again, many friends were made amongst the thousands piled in to see BigXThaPlug, and both artists and audience alike left having felt the irrefutable energy that Summerfest always brings.
