Lonni Monae has been on a run of late, and that includes a new EP that dropped last week Friday. “Just Getting Started” is six tracks of Lonni talking her shit and being entirely unapolagetic about it. Money, power, and respect are all of the central themes on this one, backed by beats that are nothing short of over-the-top. There’s not a moment for Lonni to waver on the microphone, and the boss energy is contagious from her.
