Garden Unit is the solo project of Drue Devente, known for being in indie pop band Motel Breakfast. His debut record is out now and he describes it as an homage to creative spaces that he’s been a part of up to this point. It’s seven songs that encompass breezy yet impassioned folk, traversing mountainous themes of changing colors and passing time. “Garden Unit (Windows)” grapples with a shifting sense of meaning, tethered by heartful memories of what’s been called home before.
