VIDEO: Mr. Nice Guy with Robio Weber

Our Music Director, Ben Slowey, is more than on top of the local music scene. In addition to his work for Breaking And Entering, he also hosts the Mr. Nice Guy podcast, an interview-based show that reaches out to Milwaukeeans for conversations about what motivates them. Many of these shows fittingly involve the local music scene, and we’ll be sharing some of them here as well.

Today, Ben talks to drummer for new wave post-punk band The Cut-Outs, Robio Weber. They’ve been a band since 2003; their most recent EP “You’re Always the First to Make a Move” came out last March. They discussed finding good Milwaukee pizza, Robio’s early days navigating the DIY scene as a teenager, The Cut-Outs’ formation, their six-year hiatus, and the new EP.
