NYC-Based Singer-Songwriter Aicha Dosso Blends Parisian Cabaret & Pop On New Single “Bien” (Official Music Video)
NYC-based singer-songwriter Aicha Dosso recently released a wonderful debut single, “Bien,” a song in which she blends Parisian Cabaret with pop in her own unique fashion. Born in Ivory Coast, Dosso is a multidisciplinary and cosmopolitan artist who grew-up in Paris where she studied English at La Sorbonne.
A former model in her native Africa, she is also a film and theatre actress, seen on screen as a lead in the award-winning feature BYE BYE AFRICA (as Aicha Yelena; Venice Film Festival, CinemA venice Award in the category Best First Film, Luigi De Laurentiis Award – Special Mention) and in a 2010 film CEREMONY (dir. Max Winkler, starring Uma Thurman) as well as in theatrical productions off- Broadway.
“Bien” is a subtle way of presenting several of her passions into one work of art. Listeners will appreciate the tenderness and grace emanating from her voice as she sometimes almost whispers the lyrics, discreetly entering our souls with the power of the French language. Even if one does not understand the meaning of each word, the aura of her music is enough to get the full-feeling of bliss she successfully tried to convey with this very promising official debut.
