Saturday night, Pennsylvania band, Petal, kicked off their first headlining tour with Sir Babygirl and cave people at the Back Room at Colectivo. Despite the freezing temperatures outside the walls of the venue, Petal’s performance warmed the hearts of anyone who was listening, taking comfort in lead vocalist’s, Kiley Lotz, breathtaking wordscape that is found present in her lyrics.

Petal’s performance turned to what a cold,snowy night outside into something that was incredibly magically. Her play with words and her connection with the audience is uniquely personable. When an artist can give someone the words to an emotion they feel but cannot describe, it is truly powerful.
