Chicago rapper Cmoneywave proclaimed on Twitter the other day that he is not playing games, and you can hear that on his latest freestyle, “Understand”. With an album on the way, C is pushing hard to make his name known within a crowded Chicago hip hop scene, but a verse over a glitched-out beat from producer Hooligan is definitely a way to gain some momentum heading into the upcoming release. Bouncing from Walking Dead to Frankenstein references in a matter of bars, it’s clear the type of flow that we’re dealing with from the So Serious Sound Ent. artist on this track. We’ve already heard more that hasn’t been released yet, but you’ll have to wait on that for the album when it drops. For now, check out “Understand” below:
