It’s a good summer for Providence, Rhode Island’s Senior Discount. The band just recently signed to Vinnie Fiorello of Less Than Jake’s Paper + Plastick Records, and last Friday, they released their new album, “The Best Revenge”. The album has a very summer-y feel to it, with lots of catchy hooks and high energy tracks. Tracks like early cut “Cindy” combine simple, yet effective melodies with hard driving guitars, and it’s undeniably the right formula for an addicting pop punk track. The band aren’t afraid to speed things up, either, with quick tracks like “Nothing’s Left” and “Ataxia”, both of which clock in around two minutes respectively. It’s a fun record, and definitely one that will leave you coming back for more.
