2017 Radio Milwaukee Music Awards Winners Announced

Without a doubt, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee is an integral part of the growth of the Milwaukee music scene, and their annual Radio Milwaukee Music Awards are often a testament to that growth. This year’s awards, the 10th annual edition, are no different, as a diverse set of musicians from a variety of genres took home hardware. In fact, there was only one duplicate winner, albeit the deserving Abby Jeanne, who won both Album of the Year as well as Solo Artist of the Year. It was also a good night for local hip hop, asd WebsterX, Vincent VanGREAT, and newcomer Denny Lanez all walked away with awards after having big years, respectively. The night was punctuated with performances from Luxi, B~Free, Zed Kenzo, Abby Jeanne, and Rose of the West, with DJ sets from Luxi throughout the night, as well.
