Chicago indie quartet The Drafts make jangly, noisy pop rock, and their latest, “Untroubled State” should find its way to your summertime indie playlists very quickly. With a jolt of energy and a screaming guitar line leading the way, the track is everything that’s fun about indie rock embodied in a four minute single. There’s the mixture of wall of sound with mellowed out, more technical instrumentation, and you can easily picture the song being blasted at you in the comfort of your favorite dive bar.
