Here’s a project that definitely should not go unnoticed. Racine’s Ben Kerns fell onto our radar with the video for his “Blue” single, and now has an EP to back up that first impression. Over the course of six tracks, Kerns demonstrates a variety of styles to showcase himself as an emcee. There’s a variety of genres that provide an influence on “Damaged Goods”, as soul, jazz, and backpack rap all pop up at one point or another. Ben Kerns is about to make a solid name for himself in the Midwest, and hopefully this project opens some doors for him. Check out “Damaged Goods” below:
