Best of ’15 (#10): 5 Seconds Of Summer – Sounds Good Feels Good

While some songs on this album should have stayed on the cutting room, 5SOS are starting to find their own identity and sound. I enjoyed this a hell of a lot better than the self titled. The lyrics are more relatable, tackling depression, family issues, and of course, relationships. The band once again teams up with producer John Feldmann for a more tighter production than the last. Also back are co-writers, Alex Gaskarth and The Madden Brothers who once again help create some killer tracks (Permanent Vacation and Catch Fire). The best part however, is the improvement of Calum Hood and Michael Clifford’s vocals. They are so much stronger then and shown they have been working hard in between albums. To all the skeptics, this album might change your mind. It certainly sounds good.

Key tracks: Money, Permanent Vacation, Jet Black Heart, Catch Fire, Vapor, Broken Home, Invisible, San Francisco, Outer Space/Carry on
