A Little Bit of Everything, Really.
Well… I’d be lying to you guys if I said that I wasn’t a little burnt out right now, because I am. I’ve just finished a semester, with one left to go until I graduate, and I guess that whole having a full time job and a life thing is the next step. Sounds lovely.
In actuality, you guys have no idea how much I’d like to make Breaking and Entering my full time thing. But I’m a realest, and there’s no way that I would be able to make it happen right now. It sounds cool, though, doesn’t it?
In other news, I’m really glad that we didn’t decide to take pre-orders on the next run of tees. To put it simply, we’re having distribution issues. To make it more complex, we paid for the next run of shirts in September, they were shipped in November (apparently) from our overseas manufacturer, and still have not arrived on my doorstep. I’ve asked for a tracking number, and at the moment, haven’t gotten one. Clearly, I didn’t major in international business. That being said, I’m glad that we didn’t take pre-orders because I would’ve felt awful accepting money ahead of time, saying “yeah, they’ll be here… sometime”, and then having this happen. All that I can ask is that you guys stay supportive of us and keep checking us out. For all I know, FedEx will drop them off on my door right after I click publish. The shirts will be here. Or at least I keep telling myself that.
On the music side of things, I can’t be happier with the interest that we’re getting from local artists and their fans. It’s very cool for me to come across new music, especially when it’s right under my nose. Keep sending in music for MKE Radio, and we’ll be sure to add it to the rotation. It’s always Milwaukee music, always on shuffle. Everyone gets an equal opportunity to get played. I listen to it a lot. You should too.
I also would like you guys to check out an artist from Chicago named R.i.C., as well. His new mixtape is out, and it definitely deserves some spins. I’m playing it again right now, actually. Give it a listen here.
I think that’s all for now. I really wanted to keep things transparent with you guys about what’s been going on. (Nobody likes being lied to.)
