VIDEO: Mr. Nice Guy with Seth David (Sethinbetween)

Our Music Director, Ben Slowey, is more than on top of the local music scene. In addition to his work for Breaking And Entering, he also hosts the Mr. Nice Guy podcast, an interview-based show that reaches out to Milwaukeeans for conversations about what motivates them. Many of these shows fittingly involve the local music scene, and we’ll be sharing some of them here as well.

Today, Ben talks to house producer Seth David, who also makes hip hop music as Sethinbetween. His debut house EP “GOAT: Going On Another Trip” dropped February 2020. He’s also half of EDM duo RCKT PWR, currently based in LA. They discussed Seth’s origins making music in Kenosha, his move between rap and EDM, what RCKT PWR is up to, the making of “GOAT”, and getting recognized as RCKT PWR as soon as he moved to LA. You can check out more episodes of Mr. Nice Guy on YouTube, and check out this interview below:

Seth David, known for making house music, also makes hip hop under Sethinbetween. His debut tape is out, featuring eight tracks that revolve around his life out in California. He raps about riding in a drop top, being surrounded by beautiful women, and living his life for leisure and luxury. He does incorporate a house beat into the song “Like U” while the rest of the production keeps it dark and ambient. With features from NBH Boss, Steven K and Silk Young, Sethinbetween comes out bold with a new dimension of his creative mind. He ends things with “Thanks” in which he expresses his gratitude to everyone that has been rocking with him through it all. We’re happy to be among those rocking with him, and we can’t wait to hear the next tape.

Fans of house music, come gather! The debut solo EP from producer Seth David came out a few months ago and is an incredibly exciting club banger. Currently based in LA but originally from Milwaukee, David spent nearly a year piecing the project together and it certainly paid off. He takes you on a trip filled with joy, endurance, and vigor that will have you jumping all over the building. We are stoked to hear such an amazing project from Seth David and we already want more.
