VIDEO: Mari Boyz – “My Baby”

Mari Boyz are undoubtedly one of the names dominating the YouTube-centric underground hip hop scene, and their latest video, “My Baby” features a little bit of a style switch up. Of the group, this time it’s MariBoy KP and and Mula Mar holding things down, with a smooth beat that the pair put their signature flows to. KP is a slick talker, and the style of his verse reflects that, and Mula Mar puts the autotune to his voice regardless of whether he’s rapping or singing. If you listen closely, there’s a clever bar or two in there, but the track isn’t really about the lyricism, opting for a more street-friendly feel. While we don’t know if an actual project is in the works, Mari Boyz are consistent when it comes to dropping new clips, and you can check out the latest TeeGlazedIt-shot video here:

VIDEO: Mari Boy Mula Mar – “Owls”

The underground rap scene within Milwaukee has a fiercely loyal fanbase, and amongst the names most clamored over is Mari Boy Mula Mar, who is back with a new video for “Owls”. With production from Zuse, the track is uptempo, and Mula Mar brings his unique, autotune-heavy flow and a catchy hook to the beat. The video from director Christian Roby is clean, featuring Mula Mar and crew stunting from start to finish. There’s definitely a real appeal for the music that Mari Boyz, including Mula Mar, are putting out, and there doesn’t seem to be any real end in sight from the crew. VIDEO: Mari Boyz – “Change Me”

Over the past couple of years, Mari Boyz have built a devoted following within the Milwaukee underground hip hop scene. While some solo releases have taken precedence over their group work, the latest video, “Change Me”, features both Mari Boy Mula Mar and Mari Boy KP on the track. The guitar production from Zuse is smooth, and as opposed to previous work from the group, “Change Me” features a beat that compliments Mari Boyz’ heavily auto-tuned flows. We don’t know if this is a precursor to more music as a group, but Mari Boyz never really show signs of slowing down. Check out the video for “Change Me” below:

VIDEO: Mari Boyz – “Wise”

The name Mari Boyz is synonymous with the top tier of Milwaukee’s underground hip hop scene at this point, and the group are back with the recently released Teeglazedit-directed video for “Wise”. The group’s patented version of autotuned, melodic trap is in full effect for the single, with individual members getting their chance to shine on the verses. The clip features plenty of flexing, and plenty of cash to go along with that. While there doesn’t appear to be a longer term plan past this video, it’s to be assumed that there’s always much more from Mari Boyz in the near future. Check out the video for “Wise” below:

VIDEO: Mari Boy Mula Mar – “Out On Bail”

In the world of Milwaukee’s underground hip hop scene, a week feels like an eternity, as some of the biggest names in the city are dropping new music and videos at an almost breakneck pace. One of the biggest names you’ll currently find is Mari Boyz, who have developed a strong following both as a group and with solo music. Last week, Mari Boy KP put out a new video, and after that, it was Mari Boy Mula Mar’s turn, with “Out On Bail”. Produced by Cam of Boogotti Ent., the track features an auto-tune heavy melodic flow, with plenty of energy to the track. Mari Boyz bridge a gap between conventional hip hop and pop, and the sensibilities of the latter genre have helped them earn their name. Even though Mula Mar has already put out a new track since we’ve discovered this clip, you can catch up with the latest visuals from the Mari Boyz member by checking out “Out On Bail” below:

VIDEO: Mariboy KP – “Letter To My X”

If you ask the internet about Milwaukee music, you’re likely to hear the name Mari Boyz sooner than later. While the group makes a hybrid of pop and hip hop, drawing from contemporary influences, the individual members are known to put out solo releases, as well. That catalog of work recently expanded with Mariboy KP’s newest release, a Teeglazedit-directed video for “Letter To My X”. A different side of what we might normally see from the group all together, the track takes the more reflective approach than most, with KP bringing some melodic verses to the track. Mari Boyz continue to release music and videos steadily, so watch out for more from the group as a whole in the future. Check out “Letter To My X” below:
