While the calendar is saying that summer is just around the bend, it doesn’t quite feel like it, unless you’re listening to this week’s B&E Weekly Jams presented by Bublr Bikes. This week features a hip hop heavy playlist, giving you a sample of what’s to come this summer, with new tracks from Protege, Lady Sabo, Gwapo Chapo and more. Don’t forget that you can check out the archive of weekly playlists by following Breaking And Entering on Spotify, and check out this week’s selections below:

AUDIO: King Bando Featuring Gwapo Chapo – “Uncle Rukus”

King Bando has a new track out, and he goes big on a collaboration with Gwapo Chapo, “Uncle Rukus.” Named for the Boondocks character, the track is named for a metaphor about not liking people that aren’t really moving like he is. The beat hits hard, but Bando has a calm flow while he talks his talk, and then Chapo brings things home with his verse. His contribution is more about the story of him coming up, and both share bars about grinding to get their money. “Uncle Rukus” is the type of song that could do some damage if the right ears hear it, so make sure you check out the track here below:

AUDIO: Gwapo Chapo – “In Da Mood”

Gwapo Chapo has his swagger on a million right now, and he’s going to do whatever he feels like. That’s the sentiment of “In Da Mood,” a new track in which he ironically tells you about everything he’s not in the mood to do. We still get some slick raps about Chapo doing his own thing, and the confidence in which he says no to things is a flex in and of itself. The beat slaps, as most underground Milwaukee tracks do, but it takes a charisma like Gwapo Chapo’s to really sell the song. Fortunately, he’s in the mood to do all that and more. Check out “In Da Mood” below:

VIDEO: Gwapo Chapo & Big Ju – “One of Them”

Hip hop artist Gwapo Chapo enlisted Big Ju for a new TeeGlazedIt-shot video. The duo take a ride in an SUV and go to the club, dropping bars full of casual flexes about taking up space and being in a different lane. They take notice of you if you’re beefing on the Internet or over women, but that’s not what they’re doing; Chapo and Ju pay no mind because they let things run their course. It’s a visual that was probably fun as hell to make because both rappers are clearly basking in comfortably knowing that they’re dope. Gwapo Chapo delivers the fire with added heat from Big Ju in “One of Them.”

VIDEO: Gwapo Chapo – “Started This Shit”

Few artists in Milwaukee’s underground have the longevity that Gwapo Chapo has had, and he lets you know all about it in a new clip for “Started This Shit.” With a signature beat from Emazon, a producer that has also enjoyed a lengthy run with his sound, Chapo tells you about his history in the streets and in the music scene. It’s a reminder to keep respect on Gwapo Chapo’s name, and he has plenty of references from an earlier day to vouch for him. From a music perspective, things only look brighter for Gwapo Chapo right now, and you can check out the TeeGlazedIt clip for “Started This Shit” below:

AUDIO: Gwapo Chapo & Lil Chicken – “No Hook”

Since Lil Chicken has returned from a recent sentence, we know that he’s been back to work on the microphone, and the attention is definitely still on him. The latest that we’ve gotten is a “No Hook” track with Chicken and fellow prominent Milwaukee artist Gwapo Chapo trading bars over an Emazon beat, uploaded exclusively to director TeeGlazedIt’s YouTube channel. Both artists bring a confident swagger to the track, with plenty of street-friendly lyrics with a unique Milwaukee flare to it. While it doesn’t look like this will make any official releases anytime soon, the track is a sign that Lil Chicken is back to work, and Gwapo Chapo is only continuing to build his buzz. VIDEO: TeeGlazedIt, Lil Chicken, Jigg, Mari Boyz, BHG, Gwapo Chapo, Looney Babie, Lil Axion, & WeUpNexxt – “No Hook”

If you’ve always been curious to the burgeoning underground hip hop scene in Milwaukee, but never really knew where to start, a new posse cut from MillionDollarGrind and their affiliates might just be the sampler that you need. Featuring bars from video director TeeGlazedIt, as well as Lil Chicken, Jigg, Mari Boyz, BHG, Gwapo Chapo, Looney Babie, Lil Axion, and WeUpNexxt, “No Hook” features essentially a who’s who of underground Milwaukee hip hop. Produced by Emazon, the whole MillionDollarGrind clique gets it in on this track. While we don’t really get full verses from everyone on the track, this does provide an adequate sample of the different names and voices that are the soundtrack to a good portion of Milwaukee.
