INTERVIEW: Kevin Lyman

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of speaking with Kevin Lyman, founder of the Vans Warped Tour. Kevin was in town for a speaking engagement at Turner Hall Ballroom, and was nice enough to sit down with Noelle Searles to go over a wide variety of subjects, including the early years of Warped, awkward moments with Pete Wentz backstage, the first time he heard Hayley Williams play (opening for Killswitch Engage) and much more. Kevin is undeniably the counselor of what is sometimes referred to as “punk rock summer camp”, and is responsible for introducing us all to more major acts than any blog or media publication ever could.
