Houston’s underground rap scene has been quietly building something special, and Blu’Chee$3 is one of the names carrying that torch forward. The Southside-repping artist just dropped the visual for his latest single “Statefarm,” and if the title made you think of a certain insurance jingle, don’t worry — Blu’Chee$3 is here to make sure you never hear those two syllables the same way again.

Shot by @OceanLegacyCinematic, the “Statefarm” video leans into the cinematic street aesthetic that’s become a signature of Houston’s new-wave visual output. Crisp framing, moody color grading, and a confident, unhurried performance from Blu’Chee$3 give the track the polish of a major-label rollout while keeping the grit that his fanbase has come to expect. It’s the kind of visual that rewards a full-screen viewing — no scrolling past this one.

For those just now tuning in, Blu’Chee$3 has been putting in serious work since 2022, stacking releases like the “Let It Snow” project, contributions to “Nineteen96 (Deluxe Edition),” the 2025 tape “Lady and the Trapper,” and the recently released “Romance & Bluestrips.” “Statefarm” continues that steady run of output and further cements him as one of the more consistent voices coming out of H-Town’s independent circuit.

The track itself is classic Blu’Chee$3 — laid-back delivery, punchlines that sneak up on you, and production that gives the vocals plenty of room to breathe. Pair that with a video that actually treats the song like it matters, and you’ve got a release worth adding to the rotation immediately.
