Raskahuele Drops Fiery New Ska Single “Mi Turno” Ahead of Scratch & Sniff Fest 2026
Los Angeles’ beloved ska-reggae institution Raskahuele is back, and this time they’ve enlisted some serious south-of-the-border firepower. The band’s brand-new single “Mi Turno” hits with all the brass-heavy swagger and danceable urgency fans have come to expect — but with a twist: the track was composed by none other than Rodrigo Bonilla (Gorri) of legendary Mexican ska titans Panteón Rococó.

“Mi Turno” is classic Raskahuele territory — socially conscious, emotionally raw, and impossible to stand still to. The song tells the story of a character worn down by betrayal and lies in a toxic relationship, who finally decides to speak up, draw a line, and demand to be heard, even knowing the whole thing might come crashing down. It’s the kind of unflinching narrative the band has built their reputation on, set against a rhythmic backdrop that lets their horn section and percussion really cut loose on the dance floor.
“A good friend once told me: ‘Songs are useless if they’re just sitting in a drawer or a folder on your computer — they need to be heard,'” said Bonilla about handing the track over to the L.A. crew. “There are songs that might not be right for their time or artist, but soon it will be this song’s turn, performed by Raskahuele, the leading figure of ska in Los Angeles and the United States.”
That’s a hefty cosign — and Raskahuele has earned it. Since forming in 2004, the band has become one of the most prolific and recognizable ska-reggae acts in the U.S., dropping standout albums like New Beginning (2012), Presión (2018), and Bellas Calles (2021), and racking up fan favorites including “Mundo Ilogico,” “New Beginning,” and “Estridente.” Their catalog moves fluidly between sociopolitical commentary, immigrant stories, and tales of love and heartbreak — and “Mi Turno” slots right into that lineage as another deeply personal, deeply danceable entry.
Catch Raskahuele live at the highly anticipated Scratch & Sniff Fest 2026 in Los Angeles, CA on June 7. If “Mi Turno” is any indication, the brass section alone is going to leave the pit drenched.
Press play, turn it up, and let the horns do the talking.
